Semi-retired Ransom Everglades teacher Dan Leslie Bowden, 81, will read Truman
Capote's A Christmas Memory in what
has become an annual tradition at Books & Books. Bowden, whose Georgia
accent makes the Alabama author's work come alive, has read from the book every
year at the store since 1999. He began reading it to his students in the 1950s.
