TELEVISION HOST Rachel Maddow, host of "The Rachel Maddow Show" will be in conversation with the University of Miami's President Donna E. Shalala this afternoon for a special program focusing on Drift (Broadway, $15), Maddow's bracingly witty and intelligent book about America's gradual drift away from its original ideals and dangerously close to becoming a nation weirdly at peace with perpetual war.
