Books & Books Gallery: Patricia Galbani
Patricia “Patto” Galbani, was born in Mendoza, Argentina. She spent her childhood between New York, Mendoza, and Puerto Rico. She earned a B.S. in Science and Technology from Inter American University of Puerto Rico and an A.S in Graphic Design from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Formerly a bookseller at Books & Books who was furloughed following the pandemic, Patto is now making a living from her artwork which explores the world of color through illustrations and paintings that express the essence of nature and life within the animal and floral kingdoms. Intrinsically connected to the spirit and essence of life, the paintings are created by the exploration of multilayered color stains and movement to ensure capturing the inner core of the subjects. Her favorite medium is acrylic paint but she enjoys working with markers, ink, watercolors and colored pencils. Patto lives in Miami and loves animals; especially her little ray of sun, a lovely wiener dog, named “Dayman”.
