Because We Only Live Once! shares one woman’s inspiring real-life story of the struggles, pain, disappointments, challenges, and obstacles she has had to face in her life. Author Sonia Michelle Veliz Alvarado talks about how and what helped her overcome each and every problem in her life, and her story can help anyone facing the same issues of loneliness, illness, betrayal, and disappointments. She opens her heart and her life, offering a window into the most difﬁcult and painful experiences of her life in the hopes that young girls, women, and even men can realize they are not alone.
No matter your situation today, you cannot wait until tomorrow to achieve your dreams and hopes. About the Author:
Sonia Michelle Veliz Alvarado was born in Guatemala, and by the time she was only fifteen years old, she had lost her father, her mother, and her younger sister. She and her brother were adopted by their maternal grandparents and brought to New York City, where they started a new life. In 2000, she completed her bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in international business, and in 2007, she received her master’s degree right here in our own backyard. She has called South Florida her home since 1996.

Sonia Michelle is a daughter, sister, aunt, godmother, cousin, and friend, and she is an accomplished world traveler. All her profits of Because We Only Live Once! will be going toward Sonia’s dream of building educational programs for children, local and worldwide children organizations that are close to her heart where she has personally volunteered.
