About the Café
Dine surrounded by walls of books inside or in our historic, open-air courtyard. We serve lunch and dinner seven days a week, from 9:00am until 11:00pm.
Chef Allen designs the menu and you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy a coffee and pastry in the morning. Join us for lunch to enjoy a bistro-style sandwich, homemade soups, or a healthy salad. For the sweet-toothed or those in need of an afternoon pick me up, our pastry selection will make up happy.
The Café’s Wine Bar, located at the entrance to the courtyard, features craft beer and wines from around the world offered by the glass or by the bottle. A free, live music series showcases musicians of all types and genres, including Jazz, African, Latin, Caribbean and World Beat. Every Friday and Saturday beginning at 7:00pm.
Many of our visiting authors choose to organize pre and post-reading receptions as part of their presentations at Books & Books. The Café can prepare special menus for events, as well as for school visits, luncheons, private receptions, cocktail parties and private dinners. Events are held in our beautiful courtyard, or inside the store. We can personalize a menu to suit any occasion, with prices to meet any budget. Email Jonah Kaplan for more information.
