“Grand Cayman is a small island but it has an intensely passionate cadre of writers and readers. Books & Books in Camana Bay has successfully tapped into that enthusiasm to become the literary centre of the Island.” – Mitchell Kaplan

In December 2007, Books & Books went international with the opening of its fourth location in The Cayman Islands. We were one of the first shops to open in the Town Centre of Camana Bay, Grand Cayman’s most vibrant shopping and entertainment destination.

We serve both the visiting and local population of the island with visiting international author events. The store has hosted more than 100 acclaimed writers, including Salman Rushdie, Michael Ondaatje, Robert Goolrick, Alexander McCall Smith and Dylan Lauren and children’s authors and illustrators such as Rosemary Wells, Loren Long and Anna Dewdney. We have also hosted events featuring local authors such as Sara Collins.

The store encourages customers to explore and creates a sense of discovery. We are proud of our large section dedicated to Caymanian authors, as well as titles of Caribbean interest, and continuing our tradition of supporting the local community wherever we go. We also have two rooms dedicated to children with an expansive selection of picture books, toys, educational games and books for kids of all ages and which are also home to the beloved weekly event “Sing Along Story Time.” Elsewhere in the store, book lovers can find the latest titles from the New York Times bestsellers list, a large fiction and mystery section and a great collection of cooking, traveling and YA books.
